Live Life and Laugh

To live life and laugh is a conscious decision to determine mood. I choose an elevated mood by concentrating on the upbeat and humorous things in life, and have adopted "Live Life and Laugh" as my personal motto.

Social Networking

Once upon a time, your neighbor was the person next door... With Social Networking up and running, the new definition of neighbor might include anyone, anywhere in the world who agrees to be your friend.
Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In ( and a myriad others) have become the new linking words in our language(s). We can now commune with positive people, happy people, depressed people, people with opinions, their opinions, not necessarily our opinions. We can affect others' lives, and through them, the world.
Social Networking is a truly invigorating, if sometimes time consuming, experience.
I choose to partake in its offerings to keep my mind active, to enjoy the wonders of a progressive world, to communicate with others who are mankind's children.

Balloon Jam

It was a great night of balloon twisting in Murray last night when members of the Utah Jesters and their guests gathered for a Balloon Jam - a time to trade techniques and tips. In a free-for-all of ballon art, versatility and artisic creation combined with passion produced a plethora of results. There were aliens, helicopters, wearable horses, whales and penguins, comic ducks, workable toys best shown by video, noisy rain sticks, balloons in balloons, spikes through balloons, huge creations, miniatures and magic. Add card tricks, card dexterity, humor and wit - this group sure knows how to have fun. Contact 801 824 3276 for details of their next meeting .

I like inspiring stories

People have stories - I like to listen. Such inspiration is a wonderful part of my day. I listen to what happened, what it was like, how they overcame adversity and came to enjoy life. Rarely do I hear that life is so unfair. Life IS. It is what passes us by while we are waiting for something "special" to happen. Often the path to a happier today while gruelling during its traverse, becomes irrelevant in the total scheme of things. One secret that is common to very happy, previously challenged people is being totally free of prescription medication that was often a feature of their testing periods. We are so resilient using our own resources.

Cinco de Mayo

My Spanish teacher is from Mexico, and she first introduced me to Cinco de Mayo celebrations two years ago with her enthusiastic description of fiesta activities from her youth.
Over the last many weeks we have seen a closed down Mexico, struggling with Swine flu challenges and decreased activities of crowd participation - also reaching to some parts of the USA.At last some newspaper reports are appearing that the situation is not as dire as in their previous writings. Just in time to save Cinco de Mayo? We can hope.
To Mexicans and their friends everywhere - a Happy Cinco de Mayo.
