Live Life and Laugh

To live life and laugh is a conscious decision to determine mood. I choose an elevated mood by concentrating on the upbeat and humorous things in life, and have adopted "Live Life and Laugh" as my personal motto.

Waiting for the other shoe...

This topic comes to mind now that 'everyone' is involved in a struggling economy. 'We' all share the worry of what the world has in store for us and when we will be swallowed up in misery.
I am reminded of a shoal of glistening fish, all of whom should be enjoying the brightness of the day. The image is more powerful because all the fish point in one direction at any one time. But then my eye is drawn to one of them that is headed in the exact opposite direction, one who chooses to be different. He survives because he sees the feeding shark coming.
We can live our lives frightened that we will be overtaken by maurading sharks or we can refuse to participate in that game. We can remove ourselves from the 'if...' and 'when?' dichotomy of worry (and this is exhausting) and establish our own rules.
My choice of happiness over misery (always choosing happiness, by the way) is a daily decision that has becom an habit. I appreciate the influence that this has on others; they seek some of my feelings for themselves. I call this commerce.
